About Destination: World
Our Background
In over 25 years of marriage, Jenny and I have led more than 15 overseas student trips. Although most often to Italy and Greece, we've also led trips to Romania, Haiti, and Spain. We both studied abroad while at Baylor and we were engaged on the island of Capri. We enjoy finding quirky holes-in-the-wall, especially when those places have local tales and friendly hosts.
Travel Goal #1: Perspicacity
Perspicacity: a clarity of vision, an ability to recognize subtle differences and synthesize observations and develop and test working hypotheses.
My goal for students (including adults) who travel with Destination: World is for them to learn how to travel slowly and purposefully. The ancients called this mindset: "Festina lente." Hurry up slowly.

Take a tour that doesn't let you feel like an outsider. Experience another culture with understanding and education. Be in awe of the art and architecture, not just for what is seen, but for the stories and legend behind it. Travel with purposeful flexibility, with active adventure and elegant rest, and with people who quickly feel like friends.
